Grichka Caruge is a French choreographer, dancer and artistic director recognized as one of the pioneers of Krump in France and a leading figure within the international Krump community. Trained from an early age in classical ballet, modern jazz, contemporary, African dance and hip-hop, he has developed a distinctive choreographic language rooted in both technical versatility and expressive intensity.

For more than fifteen years, Grichka has combined creation, performance, artistic direction and education. His career has led him to collaborate with internationally renowned artists and institutions including Kader Attou, Blanca Li, Kamel Ouali, Madonna, the Paris Opera, conductor Zahia Ziouani and the Divertimento Orchestra, as well as the Geneva Camerata. He has also contributed to major international events such as the opening ceremonies of Formula 1, the Rugby World Cup 2023 and the Roland-Garros Finals.

Alongside his artistic collaborations, he has created several choreographic works, including Birth, A Human Race, Révoltaand Sur le Fil. Since 2013, he has also been the artistic director of the International Illest Battle, one of the leading international events dedicated to Krump culture.

His current artistic research focuses on the relationship between movement, musicality and choreographic composition. Through the Krump Orchestra Concept, he explores new connections between Krump and orchestral repertoire, developing innovative forms of creation while expanding the artistic possibilities of Krump within the contemporary performing arts landscape.
