Grichka – Dancer, Choreographer, Krump Pioneer

Grichka began dancing at a young age, training in styles from classical to hip-hop and African dance. At eleven, he joined major companies like Black Blanc Beur and Accrorap, mentored by Kader Attou and Dominique Lisette.

In 2005, he discovered krump through the documentary RIZE and soon traveled to Los Angeles to explore its roots. In 2008, he joined the NY Madness Fam and became a key figure in establishing krump in Europe. A pillar of the Madrootz family, he also founded and organizes the International Illest Battle, one of the world’s leading krump events. He is a two-time EBS World Krump Champion.

An international teacher, Grichka expanded into choreography and directing with Birth in 2019. In 2021, he created A Human Race in Germany, a piece confronting structural racism, set to Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring.
